Do you have the hope of being resurrected if you die?

He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.--John 6:54

How do I find the true religion? What is true Christianity? What does God require?

"For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father." Ephesians 2:18

"Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God. You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him." --Romans 8:8,9

"Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. " 1 John 4:1

"God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in SPIRIT *and* TRUTH." John 4:24

Jehovah's Witnesses was Jesus resurrected? What does the word resurrection mean?

When Jesus was resurrected He was "made alive in the spirit". (1 Peter 3:18) What does this mean? Some light can be shed on this if we read where Jesus says true worshippers worship "in spirit". (John 4:23) see also John chapter 7 and Romans 8:8,9

Resurrected means: a standing back up. Lazarus was resurrected. So was Jesus. Let's think about how.

Do you have fellowship with Jesus?

Jehovah's Witnesses don't have their own Bible, right? They use a variety of translations and look up the meaning of Greek and Hebrew in order to get an accurate understanding. Let's do this now with 1 Corinthians 1:9:

English Standard Version (©2001)
God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
New American Standard Bible (©1995)
God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.)
God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
International Standard Version (©2008)
Faithful is the God by whom you were called into fellowship with his son Jesus the Messiah, our Lord.
Aramaic Bible in Plain English (©2010)
God is faithful, for by him you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Yeshua The Messiah Our Lord.
American Standard Version
God is faithful, through whom ye were called into the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
Douay-Rheims Bible
God is faithful: by whom you are called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
Darby Bible Translation
God is faithful, by whom ye have been called into the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
English Revised Version

Webster's Bible Translation
God is faithful, by whom ye were called to the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
Weymouth New Testament
God is ever true to His promises, and it was by Him that you were, one and all, called into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ, our Lord.
World English Bible
God is faithful, through whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Young's Literal Translation
faithful is God, through whom ye were called to the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship [is] with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. -1 John1:3

If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. - 1John1:6-7

And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. - John 17:3

This blog and others can help Christians witness to Jehovah's Witnesses. They are so confused (though they don't think that they are) that they have to have their doctrine proven to them with quotes from their literature.

John 3:16 "exercising faith"?

Try looking at John 3:14-15. They translation committee forgot to change that one. Now look it up in the Kingdom Interlinear. Yes, the same Greek word (pisteuo) in both verses, but translated differently. Why?

Why have they done this? It is to make the Bible agree with what Jehovah's Witnesses teach: It is for the reward of eternal life that every last person on earth should now be working… [Jehovah’s Witnesses] are working hard now for the reward of eternal life… making themselves eligible to receive the reward of eternal life.”  Watchtower, Aug. 15, 1972

But does the Bible agree with what they teach? When people work, their wages are not a gift, but something they have earned. But people are counted as righteous, not because of their work, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners. Romans 4:4,5

Upon using the Kingdom Interlinear translation I found that at John 3:16,18,36 and similar Scriptures, the Greek word is “believing”. The word “exercising” has been added in the New World Translation. Check some more verses in the Interlinear that use the word believe (pisteuo). Are these words consistently translated? Is the New World Translation the most accurate Bible translation?

It is clear that Paul wrote to the Galatians, people who had already accepted Christ’s sacrifice, in order to correct them of their erroneous view of adding works as a requirement for righteousness.

“You are parted from Christ, whoever you are that try to be declared righteous by means of law; you have fallen away from his undeserved kindness. How foolish can you be? After starting your Christian lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort? For the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.” This way of faith is very different from the way of law, which says, “It is through obeying that a person has life.” For such freedom Christ set us free. Therefore stand fast, and do not let yourselves be confined again in a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 3:3,12; 5:4;1

Yet that is what the Jehovah's Witnesses do.

What Does Being Born Again Mean?

Jesus says: "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God."-- John 3:3

The Watchtower says: "Only a limited number are born again. The great crowd does not need to be born again. Their life is earthly, not heavenly." - Watchtower 4/1/1988, p. 4

But wait, the Kingdom of God is not just in heaven!!!

"Manifestly, God’s kingdom comes to earth and his will is then done on earth "-- Watchtower 1/1/1959 p.25-29

Remember this scripture?

The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it.-- Psalm 37:29

How do you qualify as a righteous one?

"everyone righteous is born of Him.-- 1 John 2:29

"The great crowd does not need to be born again." - Watchtower 4/1/1988, p. 4

"Association with Jehovah's Witnesses requires accepting the teachings of the Bible, including scriptural beliefs that are unique to Jehovah's Witness." - Watchtower 4/1/1986, p. 31

Jehovah's Witness teachings keep people from receiving God's Spirit.

Jehovah's Witness teachings keep people out of God's Kingdom!

So those who are in harmony with the flesh cannot please God. However, you are in harmony, not with the flesh, but with the spirit, if God’s spirit truly dwells in you. But if anyone does not have Christ’s spirit, this one does not belong to him. But if Christ is in you, the body indeed is dead on account of sin, but the spirit is life on account of righteousness. He that raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also make your mortal bodies alive through his spirit that resides in you. For all who are led by God’s spirit, these are God’s sons. The spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are God’s children.-- Romans 8:8-11,14,16
